For a hairdresser that has been foiling in her sleep, the idea of free hand painting colour is music to my ears. It’s similar to when the old tip cap and crochet hook went out of style about 10 years ago… we thought that day would never happen but it did.
Now, slowly but surely the hair blending & hair painting trend is in full swing. Delicious deeper shaded root blends, merged into light hues, complimenting easy low maintenance hair styles.

It’s not as simple as just slapping colour on, there is still an enormous amount of talent, education and skill for getting this blend right. The right choice of colour is essential, so getting a talented stylist skilled with colour knowledge and know how is a high priority!
Not everyone is completely ready for this move but I predict that in the near future, foil may be just one of the last services on the menu…
